Thing 6 is getting a haircut today. It's WAY past time. I've selfishly let him look like a little girl for about 6 months. Because this is The Last baby hair I will ever have, and even though we have 6 kids, and I know We're GOOD with that... it still makes me sad to think that my baby is now a toddler... and that today marks the beginning of a baby free life :(

I was the same way with my son who had the curliest long locks before I finally gave in and cut them.
It's sad.
But I just couldn't handle one more sweet lady at the grocery store telling me how beautiful my girl was when he was a boy!

HUGS!!! That must be hard. I only took my daughter once to get her hair cut - and we haven't been against since. I just can't bring myself to let anyone near her hair with a pair of scissors.
I let Bug's hair do the same thing! I think he was 14 months before I finally broke down to cut the last of the baby curl! It was just plain depressing lol. Now with a big boy haircut people ask if he's almost 4!!! Um, no! LOL!! He is a cutie with them and I'm sure he'll be even more handsome with a Big Boy cut! You'll have to post pictures of the new style!

AWWWW! I know JUST what you mean. I didn't cut Madelyn's hair until she was FOUR and it was down to her butt! I'm glad we're done too, but it's still weird to think that you're out of the "child bearing" stage of life ... you'll make it though though! ILY!
Always such a wistful thing to do... letting them go from baby to big boy with one snip of the scissors. Aww.
After the cut, you will look at him and wonder how he got to be such a big boy?!

Love the baby locks. . . I feel your pain, too. I let my oldest's hair grow when he was a toddler and keep on growing till the Grandpa got annoyed and kept saying snide stuff. Now, that same oldest is 15 and has longer hair than me. Almost as long as his sisters. Gorgeous, thick, wavy blond locks again! And we don't let Grandpa ride him about it either. It'll come full circle for you too :)

How precious! I have two little girls, so it's ok for me to let it go and let them look like little girls :) I love baby hair though, my two year old hasn't ever had a hair cut..but I know it's coming and dread it myself.

Awwwwwww....my son had such sweet baby hair too. I look at his pictures and can't believe how much hair can change!!!!!
I do really like you! So happy I found your blog... You're so brave to get your little guy's hair cut. One of my best friend's has a little boy with the most beautiful curls, and it pained her to take him for a haircut. Can't wait to see the "after" picture!

Oh those little curls! I waited until the very last moment with my daughter too. It drove my mother insane seeing my daughter's hair all uneven and in her eyes.
